Hi There World!!!

This is a shout out to all of you peeps out there that may or may not know me...

HI THERE!!!

This is my Blog spot.... My spot for sharing my passion for the world of 3D CGI, specifically the world of 3D Animation....

I have been in the industry since 1998 when i started out as the Countries (And as far as I am aware...the Worlds) First IT Apprentice. This was with a company called Fifth Dimension Technologies (5DT). Situated in Pretoria, they were one of the leading R&D companies in the field of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Systems.... (OOOOOOOH!! JUST LIKE LAWNMOWER MAN!!!)

From there I moved over to... WAIT FOR IT!!!...... 3D Tombstone Design..... YEP!!! You read correctly... 3D TOMBSTONE Design with a Small but Wonderful company called Mosaic Monumental Works. But Unfortunately the late George Antonopolous past on and Well so did the Company.....

I then Had my break into the Broadcast Arena - At Intellvision Northern Regions ( the Jhb Branch of Intellvision Pty ltd in Cape Town.... Under the Guidance of Martin Lloyd (By the way.. The Best Boss I have ever Had... More of a Best Friend at the same Time!!) Who originally cam from "The Worx". Being given the Opportunity to be the Head of the 3D Department for Both Capetown and Johannesburg Divisions. At the same time Being an Assistant to Martin Lloyd for Online & Offline Editing and Compositing on Softimage DS.

Until, Bruce Terry (The Legend of Intellvision and The Director of the Company) Passed away.... Therefore allowing for the Company "Pass away" as well... Great Pity....

Skipping a Rather insignificant little company (No Names Mentioned) that was associated with Live Events Production where I was once again Lead 3D Artist..... But unfortunately the Grade of the work was to be ashamed of..... So I didn't hang around that long... Thank Goodness!!

I was then offered the Opportunity to Join a New Upstart in the 3D World (Anamazing Studios, lead by Dumi Gumbi and Isabel Rourke) With the Latest Venture called APTI (Animation Production Training Innititative) Where I was 1 of 15 Senior Animators In charge of 10 Previously Disadvantaged Youngsters. This Was in Conjunction With LUMA Studios (Paul Meyer, Matt Lowrie and The rest of the Crowd....What A great Bunch of Guys!! Professionally and Personally)
Under the Direction of Allan Cameron (Brilliant Man!) We were in charge of All Aspects of 3D Animation, From Concept art through to the Finishing of the Completed Projects.

In end 2007 I was Unfortunately "Shipped OFF" to the US for a "Minor" medical problem (Fortunately Now Completely Sorted!!) and unbeknown-st to me while I was away, "Anamazing Studios" was closed by Dumi and Isabel.... There were apparently Financial Issues.. Haven't got the Whole Story as you could imagine....

So as to date I am Still Floating around in a cartoon Limbo....

Enough Ranting for Now!!!
